Task 3.3: Measurement of exposure

Improved information on exposures is required to support regulation. Current knowledge is mainly from primary production with very limited data from applications, consumer products and disposal.

Within this task, IOM will focus its efforts in conducting field studies in the UK according to the protocols developed in collaboration with other partners in this work package to ensure that results can be compared. Results from these studies will contribute to the NANoREG objectives and deliverables, and will be used to:

  1. Reduce the data and knowledge gaps identified in Task 3.1;
  2. Develop and complement (with permission from the company) in the exposure scenario library; and
  3. Develop and validate exposure models (see Task 3.4).
