Task 3.5: Effectiveness of risk management measures

Assessment of the effectiveness of a whole range of risk management measures (RMMs) and personal protective equipment (PPE) needs to be established for use with different types of MNMs. Research within task 3.5 of the NANoREG project includes both development and elaboration of underlying theoretical aspects and the collection of practical measurement data on the effectiveness of RMM and PPE as implemented in industrial settings, and on a laboratory or simulation based type of study.

IOM will contribute to the Task 3.5 via protocol development for those experiments undertaken, and statistical analyses of (relevant) data collected within tasks 3.2, 3.3 and 3.5, in order to estimate relative effects of different risk management options. This will be used directly for model development within task 3.4
